The Most Versatile Product for Winter Maintenance
Equipment utilized in the course of winter is vulnerable to the natural and fabricated elements that surround the season. Inclement weather and road salts are highly destructive to metals and electrical connections. Vehicles traveling through salted roads face a constant barrage of highly corrosive chemicals used for road stabilization. These chemicals kick up and cling to metals and underbodies, re-crystallizing as they dry.
FLUID FILM will not freeze, remaining active to migrate on metal surfaces. Penetrating metal pores, FLUID FILM creates an airtight seal that blocks road salts and moisture. Remaining slick in sub-zero temperatures, FLUID FILM is an excellent release agent for snow, helping to keep snow and ice from building up or sticking to metal. FLUID FILM is also the perfect product for winterizing equipment stored indoors and out.
Care should be taken around non oil resistant rubber goods. May cause swelling. Fluid Film may soften some vehicle undercoatings. Check with dealer/vehicle manufacturer as to compatibility.

Applications in the Winter Equipment Industry
Chains
FLUID FILM penetrates to the inside of the chain, preventing wear and providing extended lubrication. Displacing any trapped water, it leaves a barrier of protection with sufficient body to resist fly off and water wash off. In dusty environments, FLUID FILM resists dirt buildup due to its slick, non-tacky consistency. FLUID FILM holds up under a wide degree of temperatures, resists high moisture and, because it won’t freeze, prevents chain jam ups due to water frozen in chain links. FLUID FILM was documented as having extended locomotive drive chains in salt harvesting machinery by up to 300%.
I spray some on the chain that turns the chute and it works better than anything I have ever used. Since I am working with snow and salt, that chain is always getting full of something and always looks rusty. Since I applied some FLUID FILM to it, it always looks well lubricated and functions a lot smoother.

Locks
FLUID FILM provides slick, lasting lubrication that could last up to 36 months. It also keeps locks from freezing, even in sub-zero temperatures. A small amount is all that is needed to keep locks buttery smooth. Great for fixing problem locks.
Spray in locks! Coat your salter and back of truck. GO NUTS. Ag equipment such as tools, spades, etc. Lawn equipment, fertilizers, etc. We have it in use on cement working tools. I mean everything. Spray down snowthrowers and shovels. After the last big storm my gloves and coat had a ton of overspray on them. I sprayed my boots and it works great for water-proofiing leather.

Snow Plows
FLUID FILM protects the entire plow, including all electrical connections, pivot points, nuts, bolts chains, cables, and underbody from corrosion. Remaining slick in sub-zero temperatures, FLUID FILM also helps keep snow and ice from building up on metals and plastics, like plow blades and headlights.
I spray EVERYTHING on my plow with it… takes about two whole cans to do a good thorough job but it lasts a long time. I did mine about two months ago now and it’s still there, and plowing today, nothing stuck to it at all!!! It was great!! Absolutely LOVE the stuff, I use it on everything.

Undercoating
FLUID FILM penetrates to the base metal, providing a lasting, protective barrier from the corrosive effects of salts, calcium and sodium chloride, pesticides and fertilizers. Offering an easy “no drip” application, FLUID FILM offers a cheaper and more effective alternative to the standard hard-underbody coatings. Protecting undercoatings from metal deterioration, FLUID FILM also remains soft and pliable, making it self-healing, non-drying, and impossible to crack. FLUID FILM migrates to inaccessible areas, providing up to a full year of solid protection. A gallon of material should cover approximately one large vehicle. Apply with standard undercoating gun or airless paint sprayer. You could purchase the undercoating gun we tested and recommend HERE.
I can’t believe the staying power of Fluid Film on exposed metal. It was even still glossy after several days of incliment, rainy weather on the lift frame of my snowplow and suspension of my truck, seeming to penetrate through some of the rusted metal to the solid below. It has been a month now since I applied it, and it’s going strong!
