FLUID FILM® is Essential for Farm Equipment Maintenance
The use of FLUID FILM® in agriculture helps to extend maintenance schedules, resulting in significant cost savings and integrity of equipment. FLUID FILM® forms a soft, active coating penetrates to the base metal, where it migrates to create a formidable, protective barrier that prohibits corrosion on a molecular level. Containing no solvents, FLUID FILM® will not evaporate, providing lasting lubrication and powerful protection for equipment in use, in storage and in transit. FLUID FILM® also protects equipment from atmospheric corrosion in storage facilities and metals exposed to animal waste.
FLUID FILM® woolwax formulation is classified as non-toxic and non-hazardous and will not burn greenery when used on cutting devices. In harsh climates or conditions, FLUID FILM® will not freeze and retains a slick consistency, keeping chains and moving parts from binding or building up with dirt and debris. With a high flashpoint, exceptional water displacement and non-conductive characteristics, FLUID FILM® is the perfect protectant for battery terminals and electrical connections. FLUID FILM® also brings luster back to sun-baked coatings and helps prevent dirt and mud from caking on painted surfaces.

Applications in the Agriculture Industry
Applicators & Transfer Pumps Handling Liquid Fertilizer
Pour FLUID FILM® into the intake; turn the pump over once or twice to make sure the liquid is coating all the interior. When it is time to use the pump again, it will be in perfect working condition. FLUID FILM Liquid A works well in this applications as well.
Battery Terminals
FLUID FILM® is non-conductive, so clean around battery terminals, make connections and then spray with FLUID FILM®. The non-drying characteristics of FLUID FILM® provides long-term protection in this application. FLUID FILM® also keeps battery hold downs from corroding. Unprotected terminals can lead to corrosion of the wiring harness, resulting in expensive repairs.
I really like the FLUID FILM. As an agricultural JD service technician, I see all degrees of repair and disrepair of farm equipment. I use FLUID FILM most often because it solves a multitude of problems with one product.

Chains
FLUID FILM® penetrates to the inside of the chain, preventing wear and providing extended lubrication. Displacing any trapped water, it leaves a barrier of protection with sufficient body to resist fly off and water wash off. In dusty environments, FLUID FILM® resists dirt buildup due to its slick, non-tacky consistency. FLUID FILM® holds up under a wide degree of temperatures, resists high moisture and, because it won’t freeze, prevents chain jam ups due to water frozen in chain links. FLUID FILM® was documented as having extended the life of locomotive drive chains in salt harvesting machinery by up to 300%.
We use FLUID FILM on everything from undercoating all of our trucks to basically anything that moves, connects, or we want to prevent rust or debris from sticking. We also found a more important use for our salt spreader’s: Typically, many guys remove the chain during the summer months to soak them in oil….what a pain that is but replacing rusted up chains is very expensive! We have found that FLUID FILM not only keeps the chains from seizing up, but there is no need to remove them because FLUID FILM stays put for the entire summer. Leaving the chain on saves us a ton of time in maintenance labor. We’ve tried other penetrating oils but most just drip off and we have to go back several times to re-apply, costing us more money in the long run.
